Indoor track practice (2/9/21) is canceled due to incoming inclement weather, lower temperatures, and roads refreezing...no need to risk driving and having an accident...we should be good for Thursday evening (hopefully)...

Practice this evening will be at Trinity Catholic HS, beginning promptly at 600pm and ending at 730pm. Please wear your facial covering/mask, bring your own labeled bottle of water, and dress appropriately. Drive around to the back of the building, where the track and football field is located. From there, the athlete will get their temperature checked before entering the building. As a constant reminder, DO NOT bring your athlete to practice if they have an actively runny nose, are continuously coughing and sneezing, or have a temperature of 100 degrees or more. DO NOT COME TO PRACTICE if you have been in close contact with someone, family members included, that has/have been exposed to or tested positive for Covid-19.

Observing the backdrop for pivotal events such as; non-violent boycotts, the inflictio...n of deadly and violent attacks, the elevation of public outrage over events in Birmingham, which in turn ensured the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, was an emotional eye opener. To see the athletes reactions from watching videos of the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church and water hoses and police K-9’s being unleashed on people of color in Kelly-Ingram Park. Both of these locations are directly across the street from the museum. Continuing in grooming the Triple-A athletes, we not only compete, we educate and learn the significance of events from the past and its relationship to present day. See more
