Today is our last day and while that is unbelievably difficult to write, it’s impossible to forget the memories we had together over the last almost 6 years. Over the last few weeks we’ve received countless people reaching out, stopping by and sharing your memories with us. This place has changed us forever. We thank you all and ask that you please support your favorite local bars, restaurants, and stores. This is an incredibly difficult time to be a small business owner. I...t’s not the end of our business entirely, you can still find us running the best damn movie theatre in KC at Screenland Armour. 1 Superbowl. 1 World Series. Endless memories. It's been nearly 6 years since we opened our doors as the first arcade bar in Kansas City. Lots of things have changed since that time. The Crossroads looks dramatically different from those days. Over the last few months we, like so many businesses, have been trying to figure out how to navigate the pandemic. What we have discovered is that our business thrives on large parties, events and people coming together in a public sp...ace. Unfortunately, these things are no longer possible with current guidelines and likely these won't change soon. So, it is with a heavy heart that we announce August 31 as our last day of business here in the Crossroads. We plan on this only being a "see ya later" rather than a goodbye. We are forever grateful for all of our staff over the years who have worked to make Tapcade what it is and to all of our customers who have shared so many memories in these walls with us. Over the last two weeks we will open extended hours and days to celebrate all the good times we had here and give you one more chance at the best damn wings, burritos and chicken sandwiches in town. Before we go, we ask that you continue to visit your favorite local places and ensure the ones you love are still there at the end of this. There is a long way to go still. Thank you Kansas City.
