Like thousands of other family-owned businesses across the United States, Custom Metalcraft is working diligently to prepare for the challenges that the pandemic will continue to present. Our primary concern is for the health and well being of our family of employees. We have been actively sharing updates with our staff as they become available. We remain flexible to implement all recommendations presented by the CDC as they develop. Rather than clutter everyone’s inbox wi...th redundant emails outlining our actions, we have instead prepared a COVID-19 Response Plan available to share upon request. Please know that this has become a fluid document which we are modifying as frequently as the situation requires. We are open for business and we will continue to provide our customers with what they need during this time. We maintain a substantial stock inventory of tanks and can ship very quickly to meet immediate demands. As the holidays approach, it's a time for reflection. In the last 12 months we have lost so many members of our work family. The loss was so unexpected and many of us couldn’t even process it. It was painful and hard to accept. This is a long overdue tribute to the last three that we have lost. Some had been with us a very long time and some had just joined us. They and their loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers every day, along with those who have gone before them. We honor Brady Milligan, Mark Wrede & Greg McCord.

We are deeply saddened to share the loss of our last remaining visionary and co-founder Dwayne Holden. He and Jerry Cowan had big dreams when they started Custom Metalcraft and we are so proud to be part of what they created. We grieve our loss but are committed to keep pushing onward and upward in their memory and spirit. If you have a story to share about Dwayne or Jerry, we’d love to have all of those to hold on to. We respectfully request that you email [email protected] so we can compile those stories for our children and future members of our work family so they will be able to look back and read just how important and instrumental Dwayne and Jerry were in their contributions to the Springfield business community. In addition, many of you have asked if there was a charity of choice so that you might make a donation in Dwayne’s honor. There was not. He saw importance and value in every one. However, we are exploring the idea of creating a scholarship fund in his name. It is with great sadness and profound grief that Custom Metalcraft announces the death of Jerry Cowan. Jerry and his partner, Dwayne Holden began Custom Metalcraft in November of 1977 and he actively worked in the company until his passing. He was a visionary and a mentor to all who worked with him and the Custom Metalcraft family has suffered a great loss. Jerry Cowan was a hard worker and set a high bar for those who worked alongside him. Everyone who truly knew him knew h...ow he felt with never a word spoken. He worked relentlessly to build Custom Metalcraft to the company it is today. There are many people in our community as well as in the stainless steel industry that can say that he has had an impact on who they have become today. Jerry was also very family-oriented and his wife, children and grandchildren were always very important to him. Jerry would expect nothing less than business as usual, so we honor his memory by continuing to strive to do the best that we can at Custom Metalcraft, fully committed to the high quality standards that he set very early on. Our loss as a Custom Metalcraft family is profound, but in his memory we remain dedicated to continuing his legacy. We will navigate on, just as Jerry would have wished, but he will be missed forever by those fortunate enough to have worked with him.

We celebrate our 40th Birthday this week! We kicked it off with a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Just over ten days ago, we lost a very important member of our Custom Metalcraft family. Scott Higgins, our TranStore Division General Manager passed from this life on October 27th. We have all struggled with the void that has been left and it has been very difficult to adjust to what our new normal looks like. He was a leader, mentor and friend to many, many people. He inspired us and challenged us. He is and will continue to be sorely missed. Scott was very dedicated but without doubt would have wanted us all to move forward promoting and selling the great products that he had such a hand in creating.
