Last week, our team and the entire Thayer community suffered a great loss with the passing of Steve Russell, community bank manager in Thayer. Steve was a respected banker and community leader who served us for over 13 years. We are saddened at his passing and extend our deepest sympathies to his family. He will be greatly missed. Steve was a great team member and an even better person. He was a pleasure to work with and his team leadership and work ethic was such a posit...ive impact on everyone at the bank. Our prayers are for his community and his family that he loved. - Greg Steffens, CEO Steve loved this community and the people in it. He took time with each of his customers and made everyone he spoke with feel as if they were the most important person in the room. He was an active member of his church and held numerous offices in the Thayer and Mammoth Spring communities. He came across as all business when he needed to, but he had a sense of humor and was a very funny man. He was completely committed to his family and was always quick to share stories about his wife and children. Steve was a Christian and was very devoted to his church and church family.
