We are starting a new Etsy store for vintage bridal and formalwear. I have seen many bridal gowns mislabeled on Etsy - buyer beware. This gown is from the 1970s. Fluffy chantilly lace gowns were in vogue just before all the heavy beadwork and shoulder pads of the 1980s. Many of these dresses are mislabeled as 1950s because of the bouffant silhouette. I also saw a dress labeled as 1930s that was early 1980s. Ivory chiffon, crystal pleated ruffle, soft romantic styling. Metal zippers were still used 40 years ago.

Sorry I posted the video that ran out before the end. It’s live theater so I’m leaving that one up as well. The end is well worth watching for the sassy MacIntyre. Enjoy.

When doing a temporary alteration for a theater production, use a basting stitch not a tight zig zag stitch. There is no need for zigzag on cotton fabric.
