We had a rough day yesterday here at Scotland County Care Center. We had our first resident test positive to COVID-19. All other residents were tested and were negative. We continue to test staff and residents twice weekly. Prayers that we keep this contained and prayers to our residents, families and staff. Valerie Bair, Administrator

Scotland County Care Center will be handing out treats for Safe Stop, 4pm to 6pm come up Mety Street in the back where we do the visits. The Residents will be sitting in the Ice Cream Parlor looking out watching for the kids.

Resident's and families, During our routine testing for Covid-19 today, we had a staff member test positive. They did not have any symptoms. We are completing the testing on the rest of the staff currently. ALL of the RESIDENTS IN SCCC AND SCRT have been tested today and ALL were NEGATIVE. We will be testing again Thursday and Friday. Due to the positive staff result, we have to move back to Phase 1. This will stop the indoor and outdoor visits until we have 2 cycles o...f negative results. To our residents and families: We are currently testing staff twice a week for Covid-19. Our testing depends on Scotland County's positivity rate. Currently, 10% of our residents are being tested once a month. This is a random selection. Testing frequency can change if anyone tests positive, or if the County positivity rate changes. We have been so fortunate to not have any resident's contract this. I want to thank my staff for their due diligence and I want to thank the residents and families for all of your sacrifices during this time. It's been a long 10 months.
