We would like to start a weekly post featuring a band that will be a part of our 2nd Annual TL Bluegrass Music Festival. We think this will give us all something to look forward to in 2021. It will also allow you to get to know the amazing groups that will be a part of our festival. The festival will be held September 9th - 11th, 2021. The 1st group we would like to feature is The Chigger Hill Boys and Terri. We are so excited to have this awesome group join us for this event. The Chigger Hill Boys & Terri formed in late summer of 2001, originating in the Hendersonville, TN area, as a result of a songwriting session including Mike Richards and Terri Argot Gore. The group name is derived from a spot in Burkesville, KY, called Chigger Ridge. The band signed a recording contract with Thoroughbred Records, a division of Daywind Music Group in early 2002. Now nearly two decades and multiple Dove Award Nominations later, there have been some personnel changes, but the message and the humor remain the same. The group continues to play and create strictly Gospel / Bluegrass music. The members maintain a fun-lovin’ and crowd-pleasin’ attitude focused on the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Activities for this week Saturday, October 17th @ 7PM Country Xpress Band Country Xpress Band is located out of Northwest Arkansas and they play music in the tri-state area including Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. These guys will bring a large variety of classic country music as well as some newer country music to the TL Stage. This performance is paid by the activities department and will be held at the Outdoor Pavilion.... Sunday, October 18th @ 6 PM David Ragan Please join us as we welcome New South’s lead singer, David Ragan to TL for the 1st time. David Ragan sang lead for the Inspirations from 2008-2013. He then joined the Perrys from 2013-2014. In the fall of 2014, Ragan joined New South, the in-house gospel quartet at the Grand Country Music Hall in Branson, Missouri. A love offering will be taken. This event will be held at the Outdoor Pavilion. Tuesday, October 20th @ 1 PM Meet the Manager Come meet the Manager Lenny Ammerman on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Outdoor Pavilion. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn about new things going on at TL.
