Schoellhorn-Albrecht completes design and manufacture of Dock to Barge Ladder for Cumberland Coal Plant. The Ladder features a unique design specific to the Cumberland River dock. This system features a built in I-Beam track to move the ladder into operating and stowed position. Other ladder features include; an electric winch (attached to the platform frame), different access heights, heavy duty load capacity, self-leveling non-skid treads, a custom articulating stair trussel ladder with deck rollers and a rotating upper platform for 360 access and stowage. Recently U.S. Navy accepted delivery of The USS St. Louis (LCS-19) Wardroom. The USS St. Louis is the first LCS delivered to the Navy in 2020. Schoellhorn-Albrecht Machine Co., Inc. is proud to have designed and manufactured the Deck Fittings, Stem Casting, Anchor and Hawser Reels in support of the Littoral Combat ship program for the U.S. Navy. The delivery of the future USS St. Louis not only honors the second largest city in Missouri, it will be the seventh ship of its nam...e in naval service. The first U.S. Navy warship named St. Louis was laid down in February 1827 at the Washington Navy Yard and served the nation in the Pacific, Atlantic and Mediterranean until her decommissioning in 1865 following service during the Civil War. Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed a contract to manufacture a 23,300 lb AC-14 type Anchor for Military Sealift Command. The anchor will serve on a Watson Class Vehicle Cargo Ship used for prepositioning of ground vehicles. The anchor was manufactured to ABS rules and proof tested to 272,000 lbs in the presence of an ABS surveyor in our St. Louis facility.... SCHOELLHORN-ALBRECHT BUILDS 70’ LONG GANGWAY FOR SEVEN VEGA REEL-LAYING VESSEL The gangway is built to a heavy duty structural truss design made with 6061-T6 aluminum and includes safety grating planks.
