Just a reminder that we have the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes on hand, plus materials and labels. Last year we filled 51 shoeboxes and hope to surpass that amount this year. With 2020's challenging covid around the world, children in 3rd world countries have suffered as well. During office hours (9-3 Monday through Thursday), shoeboxes, labels and instructions will be available for CONTACTLESS pick-up in the entrance vestibule of the church.... PLUS - we have a few plastic Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes available - making it easy and sturdy for storage for the children. The plastic boxes are $3 apiece. Cardboard boxes are free. Wow....what a sight just beyond our church this afternoon. We, Liz and Pastor Cathy, had the privilege of standing in honor as the funeral procession of Sgt. Jeffrey Perkins with the Ray County Sheriff Department passed by. Our prayers remain with his family and we give thanks for his service.
