Pierre Laclede Honors College Student Association

PLHCSA needs your help!! Hello, my name is Monica Holtmeyer and I am a junior English major and Media Studies minor running for Homecoming Court 2021. My sponsoring organization is the Pierre Laclede Honors College Student Association (PLHCSA). I am crowdfunding for the Opportunity Scholars Program (OSP). This program is an all-inclusive scholarship usually given to first generation freshmen students or underrepresented students from the St. Louis area. It is a great oppo...rtunity for students who would like the college experience but can't afford it. In addition to financial support, the recipients also benefit from one-on-one mentoring from other OSP scholars and advising from UMSL faculty and staff. This scholarship is important to me and my organization as our president is part of the program. Also, the OSP recipients are invited to become students of the Pierre Laclede Honors College, which helps diversify and enhance the Honors College community.
