I'm 4 years old, great with other cats, and even better with humans ;) If I had my way, I'd just sit on your lap forever! Oh, Oh... Fun fact (according to the internet which I believe 100%): Shakespeare, Beethoven, and Sir Isaac Newton all had a tuxedo cat :) So, how about you put yourself in some great company and come adopt me! We "LITTER"ally need some, right MEOW If you're able, pleeeeaaase bring non-clumping kitty litter (the cheap stuff) to the C.A.R.E. Adoption Center at 1328 W. Sunshine between 10am and 4pm (today or tomorrow). If you're unable, please share so we can get the word out. Between the adoption center and the C.A.R.E. Animal Sanctuary, we care for around 100 cats on a daily basis... so we go through quite a bit of litter (and food). Thank you Rob

Paprika, Rosemary, Sage, and Chai did GREAT on TV this morning! They are all siblings that were abandoned by their owner in a Walmart parking lot :/ We are so grateful for the father and daughter who took them out of the cold and were able to get them to safety. Things surely wouldn't have ended well if they hadn't found them. They are such sweet little baby piggies and have the cutest curly hair you'll ever see. There are 3 girls and 1 boy, and we would LOVE for all three of... the girls to go home together, but will send them home individually if there is another female guinea pig to be housed with already in the home. The little boy, Sage, will require another male guinea pig in the home so he will have a friend. He's a social butterfly and loves the company of other piggies. This story is another example of why we promote the spay/neuter of animals and careful housing of those that cannot be fixed. Unexpected or unwanted litters do not always end up in good situations and abandoning them is not the way to go. Please spay and neuter your pets or do your research on how to keep unwanted litters from happening with small animals, much like guinea pigs. Alex

This is our sweet and playful cuddler, Carrie. We first met her two years ago at Springfield Animal Control where she was completely shut down, heartbroken, and hiding in the corner of her kennel. Thanks to your support, we were able to rescue this beautiful girl from death row and help her overcome her fear and extreme shyness. Carrie has made great progress while at the C.A.R.E. Sanctuary! She is house-trained and absolutely loves to go for quiet walks with her favorite hu...mans However, it does take time for Carrie to build that trust. We don't know what she's been through in her past, though it's quite clear she hasn't always known kindness. Carrie loves her C.A.R.E. Family but she is ready for her forever family to find her. In her new home, it will take time for her to build that same trust she has with us, but you can see how happy and playful she is when she's comfortable. Carrie is looking for a quiet home with a family willing to spend lots of time bonding with her and give her the chance to blossom into the wonderful companion we know she can and will be. She is an amazing girl, and has one of the most loving hearts... when she's ready to let you in. Just give her a little time and she will be the perfect little sweetheart for you that she is for us :) Traci See more

This little cutie is Rory! She is the tiniest kitten out of her siblings but completely full of sugar! She is so sweet and spunky and is sure to grow up with some cattitude She's got a lot of personality for her little body and is sure to steal your heart once you meet her! My faaaaavorite things to do are lounging around and cuddling, but I also love exploring! If you recognize this dark green Dodge Dakota with a grille guard or its passengers, please contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810, case # 20-36969. They cut the locks off both of our sheds, and stole more than $500 worth of food and treats from our animals. Thank you for your help. Rob

We have 4 of the cutest little Guinea pigs EVAH... and they're available for adoption! Meet Sookie, Bonnie, Dorothy, and Ginger They're about 4 months old, very social, and will be adopted as pairs (unless you'd like to adopt all 4) They're still a little wary of hands, but do well once you get them picked up. We are open from 10am-4pm if you'd like to come in and hear their cute little squeaks for yourself :)

My name is Bentley, and I'm an extremely smart boy...if I say so myself ;) I'm an 8-month-old Pibble mix, and there's nothing I love more than making hoomans happy :) I'm already learning how to sit, shake...and even type my own Facebook profile! I know that with continued training and love, I'm going to be the perfect companion for a very lucky family. Now I do still have some puppy energy, so I would love a fenced yard and even a new fur sibling to run and play with! If you'd like to meet me, you can some by the C.A.R.E.
