Pennies for Poultry

Our post 4 years ago?! These kids were instrumental in helping us raise the necessary funds for our project for the orphanage and school in DRC. While the building and enclosure have been completed, and the supplies purchased, we are only waiting to find chickens for sale in Democratic Republic of Congo, or even Africa to ship. Who would have thought the most difficult part of completing this project would be actually finding chickens!? Anyone? We know God's got this though! So thankful for all those who helped make this possible.

Last month, our oldest supporter left this Earth to be with her heavenly Father at the age of 105. Her prayers, love, and support will truly be missed not only by this organization, but many others. One memorial option was our organization, and thanks to the generous hearts of Alice's friends and family, $360 was donated! These memorial donations were put into the account for the Orphanage in Kimwenza, DRC (a mission close to Alice's heart) to help purchase food and supplies for the chickens once they arrive. This outreach, once full completed, will help supplement the food supply for the orphans and students by adding eggs for their meals. We cannot wait for this to come to fruition!

On this Penny Saver Saturday we want to thank these three special little ones who saved and donated a total of $9.60! This donation will go into the Kimwenza DRC school and orphanage project fund to help them sustain the chickens once they are purchased. Thank you so much for your kind servant hearts.

The Little Union Sunday School has done it again! Their $35.33 donation was one that helped us reach our goal for the Mheed Orphanage project in DRC this summer. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers! <3
