Tonight was senior testimony night, and we got to hear from these graduates. We pray they continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we trust that God will continue to work in them and through them for His kingdom and good will. We love you all and will miss you, but we are excited to see you succeed in the next chapter of your lives as you continue to make disciples of Jesus wherever you go!

Thank you, Caleb Yarnell, for this week's devotional! ...And he asked that he might die, saying, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers. And he lay down and slept under a broom tree. And behold, an angel touched him and said to him, Arise and eat....And he ate and drank and lay down again. And the angel of the Lord came again a second time and touched him and said, Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you. And he aro...se and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mount of God. 1 Kings 19:4b-8 ESV Elijah had just seized the prophets of Baal, and experienced an amazing victory through his faith in God, but when Jezebel sends word that she wants him dead, Elijah flees and wishes to die. This is crazy to us because we just read about his victory in the previous chapter, but in reality, we all do this all the time. We have days where we can feel like God is blessing us, and we’re on fire for him, but as soon as something bad happens, we feel neglected and alone. Just because hardships and difficult times come, that doesn’t mean God is not still present and in control. These are the times that our faith is tested the most. Another awesome thing about this passage is it proves that we cannot conquer our problems alone. The angel told Elijah, Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you, because he had relied on his own strength to get him through this time, and it had failed. We need to learn from Elijah’s mistake, and understand that when depression, anxiety, stress, and strife come, God is still in control, and our faith is our most powerful tool. Prayer: God, help us to remember that you are always with us. Help us to understand that your love is not a conditional thing, that when we have our struggles and enter times of despair, that our doubt would become overpowered by our faith. We are thankful that we do not have to earn your love, because as Elijah has showed us, we would not be worthy. But in you, we are made perfect, and that through our faith and dedication to you, we have the ability to defeat anything that comes our way. In Jesus’ name, amen. (By Caleb Yarnell)

Thank you, Renee, for sharing this week! Matthew 11:28, Jesus says: ’Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’ This verse has been on my heart since last Wednesday when I was feeling exhausted and searching for rest in all the wrong places. I would pick up my phone and switch between scrolling and watching, scrolling and watching, just wanting to be satisfied, but the thing is, the only thing that can satisfy me is Jesus. I know that there ...are some of you who are also stuck in the rut of class, homework, activity, sleep, repeat: constantly busy but never really being filled by anything. My life is filled so full, that I’ve neglected to let go, and let God. Instead of spending time letting God work, I left no time for Him other than a scheduled block in my day. In this, I neglected to realize that God is constantly working, even when I can’t see it, and when my schedule is so full, I have no time to let him use the ordinary for his extraordinary purpose. Finding rest in God is fulfilling while seeking to find rest in Netflix and other go-to pastimes will never bring the rest we are desiring. God is the provider and creator of rest. Prayer: God, help me to see that you are always working and working on my behalf. Give me the strength to rest in you. Thank you for the example of rest you set when you created the world for six days and then rested on the seventh. Lord, I pray that I would find the balance between work and rest. Then the disciples approached Jesus privately and said, ‘Why couldn’t we drive it out?’ ‘Because of your little faith,’ he told them. ‘For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’- Matthew 17:19-21 Every time I read these verses, I am reminded of the indescribable power of God. The Disciples were unable to drive out the demon in this story bec...ause of their little faith. I think that this story goes to show just how powerful our faith as Christians is. Jesus says that if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. I think that is so amazing! Even just the tiniest faith in God can move mountains. Imagine what mountains God can move in your life if you just believe and trust in Him. Maybe you’re struggling in a class or worrying about an upcoming exam. You may be working a late shift until 2:00 in the morning and then turning around and waking up for an 8:00 class. Perhaps a loved one is ill, or you’re worried about a friend. Whatever your burden is, whatever your worry is, I promise you that it is never too big for God to handle. 1 Peter 5:7 says Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. God is always there for us, in any situation. Whatever you may be going through, have faith and trust in Him; no mountain is too big for Him to move if you just have FAITH. With God, nothing will be impossible for you. Prayer: Lord, thank You for always being there for us, no matter what we may be going through or where we are at in our walk with You. I pray that we would trust in You to move mountains in our lives, and that we would turn our burdens over to you. God, we thank You that nothing is impossible if we just have faith and trust in You. Here is the devotional for the week written by Kourtnie Stenwall. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 8:37-38 This is by far one of my favorite verses I hav...e read so far in the Bible. Everytime I read this verse I am reminded just how unconditional God’s love is. So often I find myself trying to be a perfect Christian, but every time I try to fit into this bubble, I can never get anywhere close. I know many can relate to the feeling of not being good enough or feeling too imperfect to be loved by God, but that is why I love this passage so much because it reminds us that we are NOT too anything to be unloved by God. Nothing in all creation can separate us from the reckless and perfect love of God. One of my favorite parts about this passage is that it can be added to continually. Whenever I am having a bad day or feel like I am falling short, I add on to this passage. For example, no bad grade can separate me from the love of God; no mistake can separate me from the love of God; no bad day can separate me from the love of God; and on and on and on. It is so amazing to know that we have a God and Savior that loves us so much that nothing in the present or the future can break that love and that gives me so much hope! As you go through today, think about this verse and ways you can add to it. Make it your own, personalized for you, so that whenever you are having a bad day or feel like you are falling short you can turn to this passage and remember how much God loves you! Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving us such perfect love that we can no way earn because it is a gift you have given to us. We are undeserving of this unconditional love, but we are forever grateful for it. I pray for those struggling with bad days or thinking that they are falling short. I pray they are able to turn to you and view themselves through your eyes. (By Kourtnie Stenwall)
