We at Music Folk are proud to announce that we are now a dealer for Pisgah Banjo Company banjos!!! Located just outside of Asheville North Carolina, in the Fairview Valley, their banjos celebrate the rich musical and creative culture of the Southern Appalachians. Their mission is to create affordable, professional quality, handcrafted banjos using 100% Native Appalachian Hardwoods. We got these 2 banjos in yesterday and both are absolutely fantastic! Let us introduce to you their Rambler Dobson, (first 4 photos) and their Woodchuck (second 4 photos).

Even with the snow and bad weather, we've taken in some more used gear. It's Used Gear Wednesday! This week, we have another grouping of instruments that show the wide range of what we are known for. We have a Fender Stratocaster, a crazy cool Oscar Schmidt OS-6 6-chord autoharp, a 27-string bowed psaltery and a Russian balalaika. New instruments have been coming in as well, mountain dulcimers, guitars and tons of accessories! Always something different to see at Music Folk!

Another week, another Used Gear Wednesday! This week we took in several items that you won't see in other music stores, ever, but fit right in with us and who we are. First, a Guild 40 (from 2020, barely used!), a Silvertone/Kay a style mandolin from the 1950's, a Scholer Anglo concertina, a unlabeled Guzheun (sold!), an Arabic daf frame drum, and an Epiphone openback banjo. New instruments have been coming in too. Guitars, mountain dulcimers, a sitar..... Items like these are what our customers have been expecting, since 1973!
