#hospicestrong A year ago, we had no idea what the days ahead would bring. Like the rest of the world, we were learning how to do our work differently in the face of a global pandemic. Some of our staff worked from home, and we locked our doors to visitors. By June of last year, it was projected that the virus would peak in Northeast Missouri in mid-August. We were disheartened to think we would be still be masked in 6 weeks and still taking all the extra measures to keep ou...rselves as well as our patients as safe as possible. We made it though August and the rest of 2020 Now here we are, a year later. We are stronger than we were a year ago. We learned new ways to support our coworkers, and we have supported each other through birth and death and nearly everything in-between. Some of our team left us and others have joined, but we are a stronger team than we were a year ago. We are proud to say that 90% of our full-time clinical staff has been vaccinated, and we are #hospicestrong! See more

We were all looking forward to joining Mallory Haley, RN and Carter King on November 7th to celebrate their wedding, but in the interest of public health, they postponed the big celebration until May, but they still got married on Saturday. Hospice of Northeast Missouri sends our love and best wishes to Mallory and Carter.

We gathered for a staff photo one more time with our fearless leader, Carla Hustead, who has led us faithfully for the last 3 1/2 years as our Executive Director. These last years have brought many changes. She has met all the regulatory changes that have come our way, and she led us through the difficult days of moving from paper charts to electronic medical records, and these last months she has led us as we have continued to provide quality care in the midst of a pandemic.... There are no words to express our appreciation and gratitude. If you would like to send a note or card of appreciation to Carla, send it to our office (201 S.
