With the help of our friend Tina Roe we were able to safely scan the dog that is deceased northbound 55 between Loughborough and Reavis. Large, solid black, male, not neutered, not chipped and cropped ears, possibly cane corso. If you or someone you know may be missing a dog matching that description please send them our way. I do have pics and will NOT share unless with a potential family. ... I will add that we were not able to remove him. He is in a very dangerous spot and he is huge. It will take a couple of very strong people and proper barrier to protect from oncoming traffic. RIP Big Boy!
Today we had the pleasure to assist with catching a sweet, scared girl who had been hanging out alone in the central west end for several days. She was so scared that she didn’t think through her plan and she got herself all tangled up in the bushes. She is at Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment of St. Louis - CARE STL... **disclaimer, this dog did NOT come to LTR K9 Resource, we are in no way, shape or form responsible financially or otherwise to this dog. LTR K9 Resource will NOT be fostering this dog nor will we have anything to do with reuniting her with her family and/or processing her adoption. I used my leash to catch her and she went directly into the St. Louis city animal care and control van to be transported to the shelter by a city animal control officer.
We know that you are equally excited as we are about our return to action. We are currently awaiting a signature from our vet and will submit the application for our AG license! In the interim there are several things that must be done to our pet holding area. These things include the installation of a trench drain (surprisingly inexpensive), applying a sealer to the floor, purchasing 3 more indoor kennels, replacing the glass in two of the windows, installing a slop/dog was...h/hand wash shower, and building a wall to separate the storage area. And some paint... These are things that we could definitely use help with and since we are do-it-yourselfers the costs are mostly materials! We are looking at $2,000 at minimum If you’d like to help get us going at full speed again, donations can be made to PayPal.Me/LTRK9ResourceMO OR Venmo: LTR-RESOURCE
Though we have had to place a hold on catching stray dogs we have continued our effort to help families spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinate their pets at low or no cost. We have paid down the bill with whatever donations we had left over and still need to cover $1,000. Any and all help is appreciated! ... PayPal.Me/LTRK9ResourceMO Venmo: LTR-RESOURCE
