"Home, Sweet Home.....with Jesus" Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, friends and neighbors, Sunday May 10th, we return to our regular schedule of worship at Immanuel, New Wells. In keeping with the guidance of the Cape County Health Department, the Missouri District of the LCMS, and the state of Missouri. We have implemented some new practices until further notice:... 1) Anyone planning to attend should be symptom free and not considered "at risk." 2) There should be no shaking of hands or physical contact. As such, Pastor's greeting of members and visitors will take place during his time of Greeting after the bell and before the service, and during the announcements at the conclusion of the service. 3) Those attending should consider wearing a mask. If you do not have a mask there are several available for use. Lindsey Hecht and Renae Schnurbusch have graciously donated several men's and women's masks for this purpose. (**These masks, like any, are one time use. After each use, they should be laundered. They are safe to put it with your regular washing. If you have a particular question related to these masks, feel free to ask them.) 4) Seating will be by family unit and will maintain the minimum social distancing guidelines of 6ft. Ushers will be guiding seating. So please, look for their assistance. 5) Families will not sit directly behind other family groups. 6) Offering plates will be located in the narthex on the table, and any offerings placed in them before or after the service as you pass them. It is our prayer and hope that all members will be respectful of the concerns brought about with this pandemic, and our new practices. Our efforts here are intended to be out of genuine love and concern for the well-being of all of our members. If you have a concern about our new practices, please, contact Pastor or one of the Elders and let us know. Finally, as many of you know, I have been providing recordings of the sermon each week on YouTube linking through our FB Group. Starting THIS Sunday, we will be video recording the entire service and posting it, so that it is available to watch early each week on YouTube. The .pdf files of the sermon, the congregational prayers, with the addition of the service bulletin will continue to be available for your use on the FB group. Share them with your family members, or friends that are unable to attend regularly. I look forward to seeing many of you again tomorrow. How appropriate that we find ourselves doing so on Mother's Day. As we give thanks to God for the blessings we receive through our mothers, we are returning home, to the mother that, by the Holy Spirit working through Word and Sacraments birthed us and keeps us in the truth faith.
