Hello everyone, Pastor Mike Here! I am so tired of something and I need to vent a little bit! I am so tired of the Church being such a whimp!! Yes that’s r...ight, a whimp! It seems that we have become so afraid of everything and so afraid of offending people. Now listen, I never want to purposely offend or hurt someone, that is definitely not what a true Christian or follower of Christ would do, however, the word of God can be offensive to people. The biggest problem I am having is that we as the Church seem to always be on the defense!! That is where the enemy wants to keep us, against the ropes fighting just to survive! That is NOT what God has planned for His children and we need to take the offense!! It’s time to start walking in the authority of Christ and tearing down the walls of defeat, tearing down the walls of fear and start running to the problems in our life while shouting victory in the Name of Jesus!! We have been made MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!! I have been studying the story of David and Goliath! (1 Samuel 17:1-51) Goliath was huge, bigger than life, shouting at the army of Israel. He seemed unbeatable but David, a teenage boy who trusted God never looked at the size of the problem, he saw how much bigger and powerful his God was than the problem!! The Bible shows us that David even taunted Goliath and then ran at him! We need to start running at our problems, telling them just how big our God is and believe that God will deliver us from our problems and fears!! When Paul wrote in 2Timothy 1:7 that we were not given a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind, this was not just for Timothy but rather a reminder for all the church of who we are in Christ and how Jesus has prepared us for the fight. So what do you say, will you join me in changing direction and stop running in defense but rather run to the problems in offense! The Devil has already been defeated so let’s start living like it!! It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord . Lamentations 3:21-26 ESV There are times that we need to remind ourselves th...at God's mercy is greater that our worst sin! The enemy will remind us of the things we have done wrong but God only reminds us that He has forgiven us and that His mercy is new and fresh every morning. So wait on Him, you don't have to say a word, just wait on Him to heal and restore you! He is our hope!! Love to you all! Pastor Mike!
