As most of you have already heard, we are transferring all routes and customers to Waste Management. Your pickup days will remain the same for the foreseeable future, and if you have paid ahead or have a credit balance with us, that has been carried forward as well. Why I sold Freedom Waste; This has been my life’s dream. Yes, to own my own waste hauling company in my hometown was my childhood dream. You might say I was born into it. My parents owned trash companies as I gre...w up, and from the age of 12 on, I spent every day that I was not in school working for a trash company. That experience allowed me to build Freedom Waste. I'm thankful for those early lessons, but now I want to do something else. In life there are crossroads, and while building this business I have come to quite a few. I’ve bought other haulers, launched multiple recycling efforts, have had to fight to keep customers and fight to gain new ones. My personal hope of starting this business was to provide myself and my son with a life I could be proud of, I can say that I’ve done that. My personal desires and the problems I want to solve are now no longer aligned with what the business needs. By business I mean the Customers, the employees, and the machine that is Freedom Waste. For me, it all ultimately comes down to a few questions: what is waste ? Can we eliminate the need for weekly trash collection? Could we handle our resources differently so that so much waste won’t be generated for packaging and shipping? Our landfills are filling up and something must be done to better handle the waste we produce. From the bottom of the ocean to outer space, we are drowning in trash. To me, the best trash man would be the one that doesn’t have to come back every week to empty your trash can. With COVID we have seen the average home go from 45 pounds of trash per week (that has been the number for 20 years) to as high as 70 pounds per home. I want to solve the waste problem but I have been too busy figuring out the best way to pick up all the waste! It’s time I take my experience and go solve different problems. I want to help entrepreneurs build businesses and help people generate less waste. Thank you for letting me be your trash man for the last 9 years. Thank you to every customer, every employee, and so many friends and family that have made this happen, it has been an amazing experience. Hello Freedom From Waste family, we don't know about you, but we are very glad to see the end of this snow and the warmer weather to melt it all away. We want to first say an overwhelming thank you, for your patience and support as we all navigated a dangerous and impactful winter storm. Our drivers did attempt to get to every stop that they could, however we were unable to reach everyone due to unsafe road conditions. Anyone that was missed this last week will be serviced this week on the normal pick up day. Again thank you for you patience with us and thank you for being part of the Freedom From Waste family!

Attention customers in Washington County and those in Terre Du Lac, routes for these two areas have been canceled for the day. Our drivers did attempt to get out this morning but the roads were still to dangerous to operate on safely. We will be trying to get back out later in the week but we will keep you updated as things progress. Again thank you so much for your patience and understanding. Stay warm and stay safe!!

HOT OFF THE PRESSES! Tonight's weather permitting, we will be running tomorrow. We will be focusing on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday routes. If for some reason your road is still to bad, we will notate those stops in our database and keep checking on you so PLEASE leave your can(s) out if it is possible. We will also begin tomorrow with our Farmington recycling pick up and then Terre Du Lac recycling on Thursday for both Tuesday and Thursday. Hello Freedom Waste customers, we hope that all of you are staying safe and warm. We wanted to update everyone that at the suggestion of MoDOT we are canceling all routes for tomorrow Tuesday the 16th. Please note that we are going to try our best to service everyone who normally gets picked up on Mondays and Tuesdays but there may be delays that keep this from happening. As always we appreciate your understanding as we keep our drivers and equipment safe.

Just to keep everyone updated, the Missouri Department of Transportation is urging everyone to stay inside and off the roads when possible. Again, in case anyone is not aware we are not running any routes today and will be back out as soon as it is safe to do so!!

Due to the newest round of winter weather that has settled in, ALL ROUTES are canceled for today. We will readdress the weather tomorrow and update you further then. Again we do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we thank you for you patience with us as we once again keep the safety of our drivers and equipment at the forefront of all we do. Due to the winter weather, the majority of the stops in and around Leadwood will not be serviced this week. If you are affected by this you will receive an automated call this evening to let you know. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause but we are keeping the safety of our drivers in the forefront of our minds.
