Immersed in nature, our open-air chapel sits right on the banks of the Finley River. Modeled after historic chapels nestled throughout the Ozarks, its flood proof design features reclaimed materials, making it one of a kind. Soon, couples will be able to have intimate celebrations at this charming waterfront space before crossing the newly placed Historic Riverside Bridge on foot for a cocktail hour or reception at The Ozark Mill.

Our apiary is up and buzzing! Last week, Farmers Liesel and Brendan moved our hives to their new home before adding thousands of worker bees and queens to the mix. Many honey bee colonies don’t survive winter due to mites, beetles, drought and more. In our case, drought hit our hives hard, so we needed to supplement in advance of summer. Each package sourced from Buzz Beekeeping contains 7,000+ worker bees, and Farmer Liesel added seven packages over the course of an afterno...on. To avoid a bee brawl, our queens arrived in candy-capped containers that worker bees slowly chew through to release their leader. This pheromone-filled process allows the bees to bond and become one big happy family. Soon, our queens will start laying eggs to create new worker bees (which, fun fact, are all females!) and build out a thriving hive. These powerful pollinators bring many benefits to our gardens and eventually will produce some incredible honey. We look forward to showing off our hives during farm tours and, eventually, through beekeeping workshops.

We love our little piece of earth here at The Farm and our Farmers Brendan and Liesel, who pour their hearts into every inch of soil and every seed planted. Our garlic is green, our strawberries are bursting with blooms and our flower field is ready to roll. Find a seat on the patio and get ready to watch us grow over the next few months.
