Tonight is the final night of The Kansas City Underground Film Festival and the weather is going to be perfect! We'll start at 6:30 with a pair of local films from Lourdes Kalusha-Aguirre and Atley Bowles. Then, at 9:00, we'll have our Halloween Horror Showcase feature local horror from Andrew Waggoner and Claire Biles.... We'll end the night with our very last film of the festival Puppet Killer! https://kcuff.eventive.org/schedule
Tonight! "Heartbreaking. Tragic. An all too familiar tale of the human costs of war and conflict." The Enemies Enemies is a frontrunner to take home the Jury Prize for Best Feature Film.... Movies like this are why The Kansas City Underground Film Festival was founded. During the GeorgianSouth Ossetian conflict in 2008, Georgian soldier Zaza becomes trapped in the basement of an abandoned house. But the house isn't as empty as Zaza thought. Also in the basement is Zaur, an elderly Ossetian man taking shelter from the violence. Inspired by a true story, The Enemies is a must-see from first-time director Giorgi Gachava. https://kcuff.eventive.org/schedule/5f66ac63318112006ef743db
Scheduling Update! Unfortunately, due to the high risk of bad weather, we're going to have to cancel tonight's screening. We're still committed to screening tonight's films, and we're working with the filmmakers to figure out the best way to make that possible.... The Final Hour of Roger Lawrence from director Truman Wheeler can be viewed for a limited time on The Kansas City Underground Film Festival's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=765132047677331
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the high chance of inclement weather, tonight's The Kansas City Underground Film Festival scheduled screening has been moved to Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30. https://kcuff.eventive.org/schedule/5f66a7999fa91f00297e0845

Tonight we have two absolutely stacked programs. First, at 6:00 PM, we have BUBE STUR (Stubborn Boy): Hanna has traveled far to work in this remote village in the Black Forest. She shovels manure, milks cows and tries to cope with the farmer, Uwe Kiefer. Both his marriage and his finances are on the rocks. As Hanna becomes more involved in Uwe’s troubles, it seems she may be his only hope. But that’s not why she came here.... After that, we'll be showing the winner of the "Best Danish Film" prize at the 2019 Copenhagen Film Festival, Natsværmer Film Film (Dream State): Louis is left feeling he hasn't achieved as much in life as he had hoped for. He is still chasing the same dream of becoming a famous photographer but has been stuck working on the same project for years. Louis’ girlfriend Rosa tries to get Louis to snap out of it and grow up, but when old acquaintances make an appearance the night draws Louis back in. https://kcuff.eventive.org/schedule
TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! Make sure to dress warmly, bring a chair, and show up early so you can grab some food from Buffalo State Pizza Co. & Bar - Crossroads before the screening! Our feature presentation Born To Be is one of the favorites to take home our jury-prize. We're looking forward to seeing you there!... https://kcuff.eventive.org/schedule/5f669bda295569005b358c43
