I've been repairing all brands and ages of electric fence units for 17-18 years and working on electrical stuff in general for 20 years. Recently the wife and I... got to talking about possibly selling electric fence equipment because we get calls and emails about recommendations and help on what size unit to buy and why. The wife asked me, if you were going to buy a new unit, what would you buy. I told her, from a repair guys standpoint, I'd buy a Gallagher myself because of their reliability and longevity. So I talked with Gallagher and did a bunch of paperwork stuff, and finally got set up to be a dealer for their brand. I'm not going to push selling a new unit to someone, but if they ask questions and want my input to fix or replace their unit, or what unit to buy, I will try and help them out where I can and let them make the decision. So if you're located here in the states and want to look at something new related to the Gallagher brand, I'll be happy to help you out.

www.fencerfixer.com If you are trying to figure out how to find and change the battery in your Gallagher Smartfix or Fault Finder, here's a video that walks you through on how to find it, change it, and reset the tester as you change the battery. Part number for the battery is CR2032 or just 2032. If you're located here in the states and you need a battery, let me know and I'll just send you one no charge. I buy these in bulk for about $0.30 a piece, so I'd be happy to just mail you one to help you out.

The only electric fence fault finder worth buying and why. This is coming from a repair guys point of view and not a salesman trying to sell you something.

I sold my first Power Wizard fence charger to a customer the other day. We were working on a Parmak unit for him, which we fixed, but he started asking a bunch of questions about a new set up he's wanting you do. I started answering his questions, which brought up more questions. He asked about a multi powered unit that he could use ac or dc on, I gave him some ideas on 2-3 brands that do this and 2 or 3 different models based on some questions I asked. He was a little bit o...n a budget and asked if I sold the Power Wizard brand and I told him yes I do, which I didn't mention that I was a dealer for any brand, I wanted him to make his own choice on what he wanted to do. He liked the fact that I wasn't pushy in selling him something and just listened to his questions and answered honestly and straightforward. He ended up wanting to buy from me and chose the Power Wizard PW5000XD. It's a 5 output joule unit, which is a nice stout amount of power. So if you just treat people right and just listen and answer questions without trying to be a pushy sales person, which I am not, people will like that and want to support you. See more

I sold my first Gallagher S100 to a customer. It was a back and forth of questions between the customer and I. I did a lot of educating with him on electric fence and what he had going on. I gave him ideas from 2-3 brands and some different models that would work well for his set up. I really just enjoyed helping the customer out with his different questions. The customer appreciated me being patient and going through all his questions and finally asked me if I sold the Gallagher brand. I said yes I do, but I didn't tell him that at the beginning, I wanted him to make his own choice on what he felt comfortable buying, and he chose the Gallagher S100 Solar.
