We are pleased to announce completion of our work on the Chippewa Park redevelopment project. This mixed-use, scattered-sites development involved the historic rehab of 16 buildings, comprising 46 apartments and nearly 8,500 square feet of commercial space. This week we celebrated the grand opening of the newly-renovated Bryant Walkway Apartments in Columbia, MO. Along with our previously-completed CHA apartment renovations (Bear Creek, Bryant Walkway II, Oak Tower, Paquin Tower and Stuart Parker), E.M. Harris has now renovated 597 apartment units in a multi-year effort to modernize the Columbia Housing Authority’s aging housing stock. EMH also renovated an additional 25 units for CHA with the conversion of a motel into apartmen...ts for veterans. Bryant Walkway included renovation of 15 apartment buildings originally built in the early 1960s and new construction of one apartment building. Exterior improvements included new canopies, windows, vinyl siding, etc. Interior gut rehabs included removal of existing concrete slabs and installation of new underground plumbing and concrete, new electric, HVAC, plumbing, fixtures, drywall, finishes, etc. Many thanks to Columbia Housing Authority, ND Consulting, Simon Associates Architecture, Project Managers Chuck Gottlieb and Steve Shawke, Superintendent Dan Edwards and our subcontractors for another great project. Yesterday we celebrated the grand opening of Pine Lawn Manor Homes with Beyond Housing, local officials, residents and many others. The development includes 41 new urban infill homes in Pine Lawn, MO. A big thank you to our client Beyond Housing, architects Art & Architecture, Project Managers Phil Krull and Ryan Lane, Superintendent Jim Davis, our subcontractors and all others who made this project a success.
