Today at approximately 1:09 p.m. Boone County Fire District firefighters were dispatched to K and K Wood Products for a reported commercial structure fire. Fire units quickly arrived on scene to find heavy smoke showing from the business. Firefighters were able to get the fire stopped without significant loss of property. BCFPD was assisted by BHC-EMS, Centralia Missouri Police Department, Centralia Fire Department #BCFPD #Volunteers

Boone County FPD volunteer Firefighters are currently on scene extinguishing a fire from the core of Boone County’s historic Old Burr Oak Tree. At approximately 8:49 this morning fire units were dispatched to Burr Oak Road for a lightning strike. Boone County Firefighters arrived on scene quickly to find smoke coming from the tree.
