The kids have really grown to lovethis red long haired kitten Fluffy who's loveable, has brow...n under paws, a few stripes, curious lol & follows big brother (thankfully a kind neighbor found him) when he's hunting and is still learning to return with him. We received nine new cases on December 3rd, 15 new cases on December 4th and seven new cases on December 5th. No contact tracing was completed on Sunday Decemb...er 6th. As of December 2, 2020, Macon County is considered a category 1 (extreme risk) by the Department of Health and Senior Services based on the 7-day positivity rate and 7-day case rate. It was a beautiful day for the Bevier Elementary School Halloween Parade!!!

REMINDER: TODAY!! Bevier elementary students will participate in a Halloween parade on Friday, October 30th at 2:00 pm. The elementary students will start at the Bevier Baptist Church and walk to the Bevier Fire Station. There, they will cross the street at Ugo's Pizzaland and walk back to the Baptist Church. We invite parents and community members to park along the side of the street to see the kids in their costumes. Please practice social distancing from the students. The parade will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

Two weeks ago, the Department of Health and Senior Services released a Public Health Warning to the state of Missouri. This warning, which was thoroughly cover...ed by Ben Nelson in an article posted on MaconHomePress.com on November 25, describes three levels of risk based on COVID-19 case data: Serious Risk; Critical Risk; and, Extreme Risk As of December 2, Macon County is still on the borderline of Extreme Risk with a positivity rate of 25.5% and a case rate of 251.4
