I want to thank all of you who support American Legion Post 69. Your support through playing bingo allows us to support various veterans groups and children's programs here in the Southwest Missouri area. The turnout for the drive up Job Fair was less than expected but I believe there were 6 interviews scheduled during the 3 hour period. Hopefully, there will be 6 families that will be better supported through these efforts. Another by-product from the Job Fair, is that we we...re interviewed yesterday by the American Legion Magazine. More is coming and we are able to step up and do more through your support. Thank you. The Missouri Job Center Springfield and the American Legion Goad-Ballinger Post 69 are hosting a Veterans and Military Spouse Drive Thru Job Fair next week! Please share at will with respective prior military or current military, and military spouses, who may be in the job market. Youth ages 18-23 and the general public are also invited to attend. Attention Many of you have probably heard that Springfield passed a mask ordinance this week. Therefore, we are required to have everyone in the building wear a mask during bingo. Medical exemptions are fine, per the city's mandate. Also, you will be able to remove your mask to eat, because we all know you're gonna want to eat some of Carol's great food! As always, we appreciate you guys!! BINGO!

(Behind Shrine Mosque) Suicide is a national health issue, it was the 10th leading cause of death in Missouri in 2017. To assist Missourians with identifying and engaging people in crisis, the Missouri Veterans Suicide Prevention Team is offering Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Training. As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to: Recognize the warning signs of suicide Know how to offer hope Know how to get help and save a life This training is offered for veterans and members of the community.
