Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis 15.01.2021

Today marks International Holocaust Remembrance Day. On this day in 1945, Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated by Soviet troops. We invite you to explore survivor’s stories, resources, readings, and events of the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum. The museum uses the history and lessons of the Holocaust to reject hatred, promote understanding, and inspire change and is currently undergoing a major expansion, set to open later this year. Free public event tonight at 6:30...pm: https://www.facebook.com/events/155781989428927 Listen to Holocaust survivor stories: https://stlholocaustmuseum.org/survivor-stories/

We applaud and affirm President Biden's immediate action yesterday to repeal the previous administration's ban on travelers from Muslim-majority and African countries. Quoting directly from the proclamation: "Those actions are a stain on our national conscience and are inconsistent with our long history of welcoming people of all faiths and no faith at all." You can hear CAIR Missouri speak about the executive order on St. Louis Public Radio here: https://news.stlpublicradio....org//st-louis-advocacy-groups- You can read the full proclamation here: https://www.whitehouse.gov//proclamation-ending-discrimin/
