On April 24, 2021, Officer Parkinson conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Highway J. During the stop, he observed the driver throw a bag out of the window. Officer Parkinson located the bag, which contained approximately 1.2 lbs of methamphetamine. The driver was arrested and is currently being held at the Warren County Jail on the charge of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. The driver is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Great job Officer Parkinson! You are a great asset to Wright City!

UPDATE: SUSPECT IN CUSTODY! Heavy police presence in the area of Kerland Drive and Ruge Park. Police are currently search for an African American male wearing white pants and shoulder length dreadlocks. This individual was involved in a report of a stolen motor vehicle and fled the scene. This subject should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see this subject do not attempt to make contact, please contact 911!

K9 Officer Malta recently completed the K9 Academy with Master Trainer Brian Dowdy. K9 Officer Malta is now certified as a K9 handler by the American Mantrailing, Police & Work Dog Association.
