The E-911 Emergency Dispatch Center has taken 200 plus calls so far this weekend while our patrol officers have taken 150 plus calls including several accidents, slide-offs, and motorists on top of our regular calls for service so far this weekend. Recently, Officer Menconi was invited by Scout BAS Troop 1857 to speak about Drug Awareness. As part of their membership, Scouts are required to participate in a program that talks about the dangers of using drugs, alcohol, tobacco and other practices that could be harmful to their health. During the presentation they discussed topics related to drug identification, the physical and mental effects drugs have on the body, use of tobacco, vaping, energy drinks and other r...isky behaviors teens face today. They also discussed dealing with peer pressure, depression and how to seek help if they or someone they know are dealing with any of these issues. Officer Menconi reported he found them to be a fun and interactive group of young leaders that care about their families, friends and community. #GreatestCitySince
