I picked up this little nugget last night. She was taken off the road after being hit by a car and placed near a bush on the side of the road. She stayed there all day until a very sweet couple seen the post on FB and they set out to find her... At about 10:00-10:30pm I got a call saying they found her and she was still alive... A plan was made and off I went to pick up this poor little nugget.....

I received a call from a very sweet lady about a injured opossum that had been removed from the road earlier in the day and it was placed off the road near a bush. Her and her husband was able to find the injured opossum. They met me in north KC at 10:00ish pm with the poor hurt cold girl. I will post a few pictures of her. She's got some serious injuries to her abdomen and face. Her fate is not clear... She WILL be seeing the vet. in the morning. I've given her some pain meds. And started an antibiotic. She will definitely need some prayers and good vibes sent her way. Thank you to everyone that took the time to get her off the road... Find her and transport her... I'll do my best to help her....

K.C. girl is still on the mind. She still hates being tube fed and hates meds. and basically hates me. She has no idea that I'm only trying to help her and it breaks my heart that she thinks I'm hurting her intentionally. Rehabbing can sure be a roller coaster of emotions. Not only for the rehabber but also for the animal we are trying to help. Thank you for following my rescue page. Thank you God for giving me this rewarding purpose in life.
