Hello, Church! Cindy Stone shared this thought with me today and since she wasn’t able to share during service I asked her to write it for you all. It’s SUCH a blessing! Love you all Melanie A Wilke , I really enjoyed being at Weller today. I'll try to put into writing the thoughts that came as you preached about Peter cutting off the slave's ear. I thought how often in my zeal, misunderstanding of the word, false righteousness, and fear do I lash out and wound those arou...nd me. How many have I caused to not be able to hear the good news of God's love? I also thought of how Jesus corrected Peter with firmness and love, but he didn't stop there. He continued by healing the hurt caused by Peter. How awesome that our God's love is strong enough to correct us and and heal wounds caused by our foolishness. That does not give us freedom to just hurt those around us, however is brings joy to my heart that their faith does not rely on me. Also if we know this to be true satan cannot condemn us, we trust that the correction and healing of Jesus is complete. See more
