The falafel is back along with the full menu below for our Saturday, November 14 Syrian Drive-Thru event. We will sell out! Hope to see you in the drive up lane. Saturday, November 14th from 11:30am 12:30pm at STL Foodworks, 408 N Sarah Street, St. Louis, MO 63108.... Our volunteers will be wearing face masks and gloves and will bring your lunch directly to your car. How easy is that?? $25/PER PERSON FALAFEL Wrapped in pita bread, Middle Eastern falafel is a deep-fried patty made from ground chickpeas, draped with tahini sauce. TABOULEH a finely chopped salad made with parsley, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and bulgur. Mixed with lemon juice and olive oil. YALANJI grape leaves stuffed with rice, Mediterranean spices, and lemon juice. BABA GANOUSH WITH PITA a dip made of mashed eggplant, lemon juice, tahini. Served with pita. Pecan baklava, say what!? Yes, two (I said Two) types of baklava with this meal. And Lentil Soup! It's happening on Christmas Eve at our drive-thru LUNCH event. Baba Ganoush with Pita a dip made of mashed eggplant, lemon juice, tahini. Served with pita.... Fattoush Salad a salad of tomato, cucumber, parsley and lettuce with fried pita and apple cider vinegar. Lentil Soup Lentil soup with finely chopped onions, cumin, salt, and oriental spices. Chicken Shawarma Sandwich Chicken, mayonnaise, and pickles, wrapped in tortilla bread. Kibbeh Deep fried bulgur stuffed with beef, pine nuts a little onion and Mediterranean spices. Thank you to our friend Mohammed Qadadeh at American Falafel for an another amazing Welcome Neighbor STL event! Be sure to check out next week's Riverfront Time...s to read the full story written by Cheryl Baehr. 142 Jordanian meals were sold today with 50 meals donated to unhoused folks living in the streets of downtown St. Louis. American Falafel also made an awesome donation to Welcome Neighbor STL for $278 today. THANK YOU for supporting our mission and helping people in need! And a BIG thank you to Lee Keuhner Alfred T. Higgenbothem for being our VIP volunteer today and also to Mary Zaggy, Sharon Morrow, and Janet Workman for helping us get the meals distributed on the streets. Thank you all for such an amazing day!

The weather is going to be BEAUTIFUL today in the mid 70's, so grab a meal to go or enjoy it on the patio at American Falafel.

This dish will be the start of any dinner party and everyone will want to know your secret of how you made the perfect Jollof from scratch. Join us live via ZOOM from Edith’s kitchen to yours and explore new foreign dishes we can create together. Starting with authentic Ghana Jollof Rice. When you register for the class, a Zoom link will be emailed to you so that you can login and watch the live cooking class. Each participant is encouraged to turn on their camera to interact with the chef during the cooking class, but of course each participant has the option of turning their video off. Whatever makes YOU feel most comfortable is how we want you to participate in the class. At the end of each virtual cooking class, each participant will be emailed a link to the Zoom video and a digital copy of the recipe card along with information about the immigrant chef.
