We have a few updates for the community related to COVID-19. 1. The delay in local public health departments receiving positive lab reports has started to decr...ease. We are STILL receiving delayed reports, but it seems to be improving. Please follow the guidelines found on our new COVID-19 dashboard https://www.warrencountyhealth.com/covid-19-dashboard/ if you test positive and have not heard from us! 2. We have many community members asking when they can get the COVID-19 vaccine. We understand the intense desire for many to know when you or your loved ones can receive the vaccine if you choose to do so. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) informed us today that Phase 1A populations (healthcare providers and staff who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to COVID-19 and are unable to work from home and nursing home residents/staff) remain the priority to get vaccinated in Missouri at this time. They stated guidance for other populations will be released later in January per DHSS. As soon as we are provided further guidance, we will notify the public immediately! 3. Warren County has been identified as a "hot spot" county by DHSS as of 12/31/20. Please continue to wear a mask, social distance, avoid gathering with those outside your immediate household and wash your hands. We need to remain vigilant with these simple public health measures that are shown to reduce transmission.
