We wanted to take a minute to thank all of the people and businesses that made this last week so great at Volt. We were closed on Monday in observation of Columbus Day, but we took that opportunity to have an in service training day. We heard from Amy Blankson , Diaper Bank of the Ozarks, The Connecting Grounds, Officer Helms from the Springfield, MO Police Department, and Loehr Health Center! We had individual lunches catered by Infused Catering and they were amazing! At t...he end of the day we were given wellness bags with gifts from The Bodysmith, Travellers House Coffee & Tea, SWET Hot Yoga and Fitness Studio, Mother Earth Pillows, and Lavender Falls! Thank you to all of you for making our day in feel like a day off! Thursday was our 85th Anniversary, and International Credit Union Day, so we celebrated with free tacos from Chubby Cactus taco truck and cookie dough from NoBaked Cookie Dough! We just want to say thank you for coming out and feeding everyone. If you haven't had the opportunity yet, you have to try both of these foods, they are out of this world!

The Child Advocacy Center, Inc. wants Springfield to know that "safe at home" may not be safer for everyone. That is why we are joining them in their mission to prevent child abuse in our area. To help Volt raise money for the CAC visit www.voltcu.org/85ksparks and make a donation to The Volt Foundation before 11/15/2020. Volt will then match all donations up to $5000. Let's come together and help put an end to child abuse in Springfield!

So "technically" we turn 85 on Thursday, which also happens to be International Credit Union Day! You are absolutely right, which is why instead of throwing a birthday party and reminiscing about the good ol' days, we will be partying in the parking lot with Chubby Cactus taco truck and NoBaked Cookie Dough.
