Last year, some of our long-term partners were not able to place practicum students due to COVID-19. Della Lamb Community Services graciously opened its doors to several of our students. The center serves children from refugee backgrounds and provides early care and education for other children from low SES in the community. Following a classroom discussion and conversations with the university supervisor, the students decided to give back and transform the playground at this center. The students have started a Go Fund Me to raise funds necessary for the materials for this project (plants, paint, mulch, etc.). Learn more about the project:

Thank you to all of our alumni and students working in schools! It has been such a challenging year, and your perseverance and ingenuity have been inspiring. We think our Class of 2020 Alumni Achievement Award winner, Mary Delac (M.A. '98), sums up one very important reason we love our teachers, administrators and school staff. Have a happy summer!
