Hi, we hope everyone is having a blessed week. On Sunday, Elmer Halderman sang You Never Mentioned Him to Me for the special with piano accompaniment by Tressa Blackburn. Brother Kevin preached from Matthew 27:27-31. The soldiers mocked Jesus, offering him a crown of thorns and addressing him as King of the Jews. Scripture had spoken of a king. While Jesus did not look like a king, the soldiers had no doubt heard the rumors maybe He was the one, maybe He was the king the ...Jews had been awaiting. And they mocked Jesus. Disrespectfully. Cruelly. Blindly. Christ did not gain His kingdom through war but through service. This same moment the soldiers faced, we all face. We may not mock Him. But do we accept His authority? Do we choose to serve Him as our King? Please keep in your prayers the following individuals and their families: Donna Moss, Barb Tipton, Dave Whittle, Phyllis Whittle, Lee Todd, Larry Farham, Pat Hendee, Donnie Luttrell, Joyce Rodden, Janet Trusley, Gary Graham, Sue Fancher, Richard Byrd, Edward Ash, Alma Hill, Tab Buhr, Roni Graham, Greg Whittle, Doug Luttrell, Gladys Luttrell, Christy Schulte, Sara Matthews, Bill Whittle, Ray Baker and Gary Denton. We offer our deepest sympathies to the family of Ina Lou Wilson. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations shall worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord’s, And He rules over the nations. (Psalm 22:27-28 NKJV)

Hi, we hope everyone is having a blessed week. On Sunday, Brother Kevin preached from 2 Corinthians 1:1-4 and Psalm 86:1-7. We have nothing to bring God but our need; God has everything to give us. As sinners, before we can come to God, we must first know God’s mercy. When we come to Him, once we accept His mercy, we can call Him Father. God cares for the weak, the fatherless, the widows, the vulnerable. He is a good Father. And He wants His children to care for others, the... way He cares for us. Knowing God’s mercy, calling Him our Father, understanding His love, we should care, as He does, for the weak, the fatherless, the widows, the vulnerable. We love because we know His love. Please keep in your prayers the following individuals and their families: Donna Moss, Barb Tipton, Dave Whittle, Phyllis Whittle, Lee Todd, Larry Farnham, Pat Hendee, Donnie Luttrell, Joyce Rodden, Pam Franklin, Janet Trusley, Gary Graham, Sue Fancher, Richard Byrd, Jean Barnett and Alma Hill. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Mary Pemberton. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. (Psalm 68:8-9 NIV)

Hi, we hope everyone is having a blessed week. This week, we sang to Sandy Alieksaites for her birthday. For our specials, Dalton Shadow played Jesus Loves Me on the piano. Also, Elmer Halderman sang I’ll Never Be Lonely Again. Faye Burris accompanied him on the piano.... Brother Kevin taught from Jeremiah 1:4-7. Jeremiah did not immediately accept God’s call to be a prophet. Instead, he reacted with feelings of humility and inadequacy: he was young, he was not an orator. But God reminded Jeremiah that He was Jeremiah’s creator. He already knew Jeremiah’s age, his fears and insecurities, his worries, his strengths, his limits. God knew Jeremiah before he was created in the womb, He knew every heartbeat, He knew every breath. God understood Jeremiah, loved him, knew him. And He called Jeremiah anyway. God knows us with the intimacy of a creator. All of our failures, mistakes, flaws, all of our fears, insecurities, worries. He knows our strengths. He knows our weaknesses. And, yet, He calls us anyway. Please keep in your prayers the following individuals and their families: Donna Moss, Barb Tipton, Dave Whittle, Phyllis Whittle, Lee Todd, Larry Farnham, Pat Hendee, Donnie Luttrell, Joyce Rodden, Pam Franklin, Mary Pemberton, Sheila Plemmons, Janet Trusley, Gary Graham, Sue Fancher and Richard Byrd. ‘I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.’ (John 10:14 NIV)

A picture of some of the beautiful ladies at our church. We had our annual ornament exchange last night. The only time stealing is allowed in church. We missed the ones who couldn't join us.
