I know the lady who created this fundraiser, therefore I know it's legit, so please help?

Here's an update on the house. I've been very busy doing multiple different things...

I was going to wait until the memorial service to hand over what we collected so far- however the husband Brian is drowning in bills. He had to sell 2 vehicles ...to make ends meet, now he needs to fix his remaining vehicle- so he can go back to work... Please help, share, and pray? Thank you! See more

100% transparency, and a big thank you to the manager Mark (at Lowe's). Let me explain... Now that we have the safe house whom a disabled person will be living,... the amount of grass I have to mow doubled. (Both my house, and safe house have the equivalent of 2 yards each- and the safe house has a hill. I COULD mow it all with a push mower- but I'm not supposed to be that physical because of my health. Also the time that would take, can be better utalized helping people. I want to give a big shout out to Mark the manager At Lowe's for reducing the price by over $500.00. (I was able to get it for $1,550) I also want to thank everyone who has donated to our fundraisers as well. Without ALL OF YOU- This wouldn't have been possible! (Between the discount, my own money, and help from the community) I already used it today, and it was very nice to get something accomplished without leaving me extremely exhausted... See more

Don't forget we need help to get this operation up and going... Please do what you can to help, Weather it be to support/sponsor in ANY way, including- but not limited to donations in monitary form (one time donations- as well as monthly contributions are welcome. No donation is too large, or too small), donating building materials, donating labor, sharing this fundraiser, sharing the group, inviting good people to join the group etc?... Thank you, and God bless...

LET IT SNOW- LET IT SNOW- LET IT SNOW... The roof is officially DONE! I'd like to thank many people, but for this post I want to give recognition to Jim Parker,... and Jim Parker roofing- including his spouse Stephanie James. If it weren't for them- and my friend John Reynolds, this wouldn't be possible. Let me explain... A few months ago I had a flood- and wind damage to my roof. The insurance company paid me very well, and these folks did the professional work on my house for friend prices. That's what made purchasing this house- and fixing the roof possible (I had money left over). I couldn't afford to contract his company (or any other company) to do the work, so I had to bring my own people to tear off the multiple layers of roof (for this other house). Then Jim was kind enough to let me hire a couple of his guys to help deck the roof. Randal Valentine, and John Unger (Bobby is his nickname) drove 10 plus hours for 2 day's of work, then Jim drove 12 plus hours to work for 3 days to shingle the roof... The timing was good because this house was purchased for next to nothing from a lifelong friend, and his beautiful wife (beautiful on the inside- and the outside), who wants to see this house help people. Since this house is an undisclosed location I won't use their names. We'll call them "John Doe, and "Jane Doe"... Thank you Mr. And Mrs. Doe... Anyway I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jim Parker roofing for anyone in St. Charles county, Lincoln county, or Warren county... They are great people- and they care... I'll thank everyone else in a different post... See more

There's still a lot to do, but the roof wasn't the only thing that's been being worked on... We've cleaned plenty of mess, made more mess, and cleaned that too...... We're far from done making a mess, however we make great progress when we do... There's lot's of work left to do, but now TIME IS ON MY SIDE (yes it is)... We got the roof done before winter- insuring the damage doesn't get any worse... The damage to the house is repairable, and will be fixed (God willing)... See more

Plagued by the short sunlight hours again... The roof is completely done, except capping 2 edges, and retrieving the roofer's equipment... It looks fantastic th...ough- again it was Jim Parker, and Darren Sartors on the roof... I got a lot of work done on the ground as well... Here's what everything looks like now... We would have had enough daylight, but we had to wait for the frost to melt, for safety reasons... SAFETY FIRST! See more
