True Vitality KC COVID-19 update: We have continued to see clients but with a screening process. We are making sure that everyone seen at our office does not pose a risk to other clients who come to our office. Our current goal is to keep people healthy, functional, and out of emergency rooms and doctor's offices as much as possible. Currently our office is very low volume and we are cleaning and sterilizing frequently touched surfaces after each patient. Staff are wearing ma...sk as well. We are not following standard hours and have gone to a by appointment basis. We are still encouraging people to follow the stay at home order as much as they possibly can, but if your aches and pains become a little too much to tolerate, we are here for you. At this time, True Vitality KC will continue to remain open. We have shifted more to a by-appointment-only model for our hours, so you will need to call ahead to see what is available. Although this has been a tough decision for us, we believe it is the right one. Due to the increased demand on hospitals, general practitioners, urgent care clinics, and emergency rooms, we think it is important to help decrease the load of these offices by continuing to support basic musculosk...eletal complaints. For example, there is no need to put someone with an exacerbated herniated disc at an increased risk of contracting COVID-19 by going to a hospital when we can take care of the issue by minimizing the number of people the person comes in contact with and still provide great relief for the person. We are taking extra precautions by sanitizing tables, doorknobs, and counter tops after each client. We are practicing social distancing by allowing a maximum of 4 people in our office at any given time. We are not currently seeing clients for maintenance care and telling clients if the issue is not significantly life altering to obey the Stay At Home order to attempt to minimize any further spreading of the disease. Massage is not taking any new clients at the moment. We have implemented a pre-screening before every appointment to make sure a potential client has not been around large groups for an extended period of time, travelled anywhere with a significantly higher amount of incidence, not had any cold or flu like symptoms, has not had a cough or any other respiratory discomfort, and not had a fever. We take Coronavirus very seriously and will do everything possible to minimize further exposure while continuing to take the burden off of medical offices doing their best to help as many people as possible.
