The Urban Zoo K9 Cur-riculum

As the summer gets closer, please make sure that you supervise your pup outside as much as possible!! We don't want any upset bellies or surgeries to happen!!

Yesterday was the last school day for one of our long timers! Porkchop has been coming to school for almost a year and has made sooo much progress since he started! He's going to be able to put all his new skills into action when meeting new friends!! He and his mom are moving to Wyoming soon, and he was able to have one last play session and sleepover with his bestie Tim Curry! We sure are gonna miss this little goof!!

Before and after I interrupted play time with the "sit" command. I'm super impressed with these three today, they've been doing great!

Make time to practice the basics with your pup. Tim Curry loves the leaveit game, because he knows when he listens and does what is asked he ends up with an even better reward, attention from me. Here in this pic he's focusing on me and giving me his full attention instead of the cheeseit. Training is all about getting your pup to prioritize you over other stimulating things that can catch their attention.

We love making new friends! Buster and Piglet are both new additions to the school schedule! We are very excited to work with them
