Went to coffee and was so encouraged by the signs hung up outside of Monarch Coffee in downtown KC. They have all kinds of messaging to support goodness in the community, but this one stuck out the most. Every time I drive by a yard sign in someone’s front yard, or an encouraging note on a school’s letter board out front- it really does make a difference. I don’t know about you, but I really do smile and feel a little relieved every time I see one. So yes! 2020 IS the year ...we all helped each other. Thank you, Monarch. #NoticeGoodness See more
For me, I think it's that pause of taking a moment to be intentional. Maybe I'm running errands in the grocery store and I pause before rushing to checkout to ask myself, What do I need right now? Just ask that one question. In our #WeveNoticed interview, Amy talked about how Self Check-Ins have become an important habit in her routine. What are some of yours? This blog post was a special one for me. Navigating Through the Smallness, can you relate? https://www.thenoticednetwork.com/blog
In this week's blog Amy is taking a look at how we can navigate through engineering smallness and into greatness. She takes us on a journey through her own personal experience, and gives a shout out to the one and only Brené Brown for so bravely proclaiming that the days of engineering smallness and playing it safe to avoid criticism were over for her. This is such a great perspective on how Noticing as a strategy can be used to help us navigate life more confidently. We hope you’ll check out the blog and let us know how this journey relates in your life. www.thenoticednetwork.com
In this week’s edition of #NoticeStories, we want to tell you about an amazing group of campers who take Noticing to the next level. Everyone, meet the kids and staff of Camp Encourage! Camp Encourage is an organization that serves kids who are living with Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD. For the past several years we have been helping the campers, volunteers, & staff at Camp Encourage Notice the goodness in themselves and others. Everyone... in the Camp Encourage family goes above and beyond and we have enjoyed all the ways we’ve gotten to partner with them. The Director of Camp Encourage sent a sweet message over to us. Read below. On August 3, 2017, we received this sweet note from a parent of one of the AMAZING campers at Camp Encourage, and we want to share it with all of you: "My wife and I took the family to Colorado for a week in early July (after (my son’s) June camp). One morning, my older kids stayed at the condo and just my wife, (son) and I went for a hike. We stopped to rest about a mile into the hike, and completely unprompted, (my son) said, I don’t have a bracelet, but I just wanted to ‘Notice’ you guys for being a good mom and dad and the good things you do for me. The lump welled up in my throat and I couldn’t speak, especially when I saw how carefully he was choosing his words as this is not the sort of thing he would typically ever volunteer. I am a personal witness that CE makes a difference in kids’ lives." Thank you for all you do, Camp Encourage. And we are so grateful anytime someone shares their Notice story with us. You can share your stories by emailing us at [email protected] #NoticeStories See more
How can we Notice when we wear these dang masks? In this week's blog post Amy Johnson, Founder of The Noticed Network, is taking a look at how mask wearing is affecting our culture and what we can do to connect in these socially distant times. If you’ve been feeling disconnected lately, or you have been trying to help people stay connected- this blog may be just the thing you’re looking for. www.thenoticednetwork.com/blog #NoticeGoodness

Check out Amy’s new blog post on www.thenoticednetwork.com/blog Over the past few months, I have spent a lot of time and walked many, many miles, on the trail that runs past my house.... This blog post is an important one. Head over to the blog to read about how we partnered up with Project Happiness LSMO to inspire people out on the trails. How many of you are taking more walks these days? It’s such a good thing, and such an important space to Notice the people we walk by every day. Walk on and #NoticeGoodness
Our Notice tip for the day: remember that these words apply to YOU. When you Notice the goodness in yourself, Noticing the goodness in others becomes so effortless. Tell yourself today: I am Strong. I am Amazing. I am Enough.... I am Kind. I am Noticed. And the catch? Know that it’s always true. Photo Cred: @iamnoticed We are so proud of the impact that our affiliate program I AM Noticed has in the education and non profit sectors. I AM Noticed serves students, staff, & families to create more positive culture K-12. #NoticeGoodnessTip #IAMNoticed
Today’s #NoticedStories is from 2014, when an AMAZING group of Noticers went on a mission trip to Kenya. While they were there, they shared the simple, yet powerful gift of Noticing. In her reflections about her experience, Kristina Sevens said, The women were naturally curious about what ‘Noticed’ meant. Have you ever felt that way? Like, what’s the big deal? It’s just a keychain or a bracelet right? ... Well, from Kristina’s experience she learned that A bracelet to them is much more than a material thing. This little turquoise bracelet is a symbol to them: that Jesus loves them and knows their every struggle, and that there are women across the world that love and care for them. That they are not alone. We sincerely hope that each of the AMAZING humans that were a part of this experience feel the power of being Noticed every day! #FlashbackFriday #NoticedStories
