Happy Veteran’s Day!

GEORGE UPDATE -- (and just an excuse to post some really cute pictures of him!) George has been a very busy boy this evening! He has been trying to sneak up on the big kitties and play with Boppity's giant fluffy tail - as if Boppity didn't know he was there! George seems to be doing fairly well. I think he is bored not being allowed to roam, but when Foster mom has to work, she can't keep an eye on a tiny little Scampering kitten! He did get quite a bit of lap time to day... and there was a lot of purring. He seems to be eating fairly well, although, his ordeal did lose him an ounce and a 1/2! Fingers crossed that he continues to eat his Royal canin mixed with steamed rice and shredded chicken - which is what the doctor ordered! Thank you SO much for your support and well wishes for our cute little guy!

George says GOOD NIGHT.... Foster mom says that he ate very well this evening, but she cannot possibly stay up any longer just to hold him in her arms and watch him! He still has a little bit of food left in his bowl and several toys in the Room with him.... And his Foster mom was quite certain everyone would want to see at least one more picture of George before bedtime...with a face like that, how can you not? (And foster mom is attaching the DONATE button to this post just in case you would like to donate a few dollars to help towards George's VSS excursion this weekend...since the post earlier mentioned that donations would still be very welcome, but then *someone* forgot to add the donate button...) Only, in the time it took to write this post, George has curled back up in his Foster mom's lap. Sigh...

GEORGE UPDATE-- a HUGE *thank you* for the donations, well-wishes and prayers! We got an update this morning that George was doing very well. Eating and drinking and nothing was coming back up! And things were coming out the right end! () He was even playing with some toys that the nurses at VSS had given him!... They were never able to specifically find anything that he had eaten that he should not have, so we don't know if it was a foreign object or possibly just a virus or parasite that made him do all of that throwing up. So cute little George is back at his foster home, and currently living in the seashell bathroom where we can monitor his input and output! -- And hopefully being in here by himself for a little while will allow him not to be so distracted and will eat! And for the next several days, he is supposed to eat his kitten food mixed with plain chicken and rice - he is tucking into it with a lot of zeal! So, George gets to have a human chef for the next few days! We are also thrilled that George's total bill was "only" $820 ....but we could use more support in that area, If possible. So please continue to share George's VSS trip! -- George sends purrs of Thank You! Keep an eye on Facebook; we hope to have more adorable pictures of this little guy as he grows and gets ready to be adopted. Somebody is going to be lucky to get him. - and remember how we said he was hissy to start ? There has been no hissing in days!
