The Lawrence Lithography Workshop 28.11.2020

We are proud and excited to announce the Library of Congress in Washington, DC has established a partial archive of 64 original prints produced at TLLW. These selected works span nearly 40 years of printing and publishing from the early 1980’s through 2017. They are referenced in the Library as The Lawrence Lithography Workshop Collection: https://catalog.loc.gov/vwebv/search We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Katherine Blood, Curator of Fine Prints at the Library of Congress, for her vision, support and hard work in bringing this acquisition to fruition.

Twenty years ago Ron Adams teamed up with Lawrence Lithography to produce this print in tribute to Robert Blackburn. The Library of Congress bought one as soon ...as it was finished (which took two years!) Last night I ventured into the Nelson-Atkins for the first time in eight months because I wanted to see the new show about Blackburn. Blackburn was a giant and his workshop is still active in Harlem.
