As we commemorate the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision today, let's take the day to pray and fast for a greater respect for the dignity of every human life in our country and throughout the world. Please join us at 6:00 pm on Facebook Live as we pray the Holy Rosary for that intention.

Many people have already become organ donors to support the effort to purchase our organ. Thank you to all who have donated to this point, especially during a financially challenging year. If you haven’t given to the organ fund, here are two things to consider: 1) Since March, we have been unable to have any events or fundraisers at the parish. Perhaps you could consider donating what you might have spent at the fish fries, Parish Picnic, Oktoberfest, or Soccer Tournament. ... 2) The lifespan of an organ is supposed to be around 20 or more years, and ours would include a 10-year warranty. If you have children or relatives that you think may be married (or ordained to the priesthood!) in the next 10-20 years, you might consider this an investment in the beauty of their Wedding or First Mass! Just to get an idea of where we are with the organ, since this past weekend, we have raised $5,166, which brings our grand total to $36,153 towards our goal of $60,000. This is great progress! Here’s a little extra challenge: a parishioner approached me with the pledge that for every two dollars that the parish collects (since last weekend), they would donate one dollar, up to $10,000. That is a very generous pledge, and brings us even closer to our goal. Let’s keep pressing on, and use the new organ to bring beauty to our parish and glory to God! Since the start of the pandemic, we have many more individuals who tune in to our live-stream masses from not only Shrewsbury, but many other neighboring towns, cities, and states!
