Here’s a wee chune from P/M Richard Parkes of the Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band - he was nominated for the #COVIDceilidh! Hope everyone is well and AT HOME!

Amidst the developing coronavirus crisis, we sadly announce that the 2019-2020 season of the Drones Club has come to a premature end. Given the ongoing state of emergency, it looks highly unlikely that we will be able to hold an event on April 13th, which would have been the last recital of the season anyway. It's been a tough season for us. Playoff baseball and an ice storm hurt attendance at our first two meetings, then we lost our venue and had to cancel December and J...anuary before finally securing a new home at Llywelyn's in Webster Groves. And now that we were getting our feet back underneath us, the coronavirus exploded out of control! We normally take a break in the summer when Highland games season is in full swing and people are traveling to piping competitions. Already, though, several of the games and competitions have been canceled. So depending on how quickly things return to normal, we might try to host an event or two over the summer. What do you think? Please share your thoughts! At any rate, we look forward to being back next season starting on Columbus Day, October 12th. Stay tuned for more information and guest recitalists as summer flies by. In the meantime, stay safe and keep on playing your pipes!
