Last weekend the Emeralds competed at KC Classic and we placed first in pom, first in precision jazz, and were the division 3 high point winners In sophomore ...solos Savannah got 8th and Bella got 2nd. In junior solos Sofia got 1st and in senior solos Cooper got 3rd. In duos Sofia and Bella placed first. Thank you @larkspurdance for putting on this event again we had a great time!! See more

This morning, Governor Parson held a press conference that declared students and staff who are deemed exposed to COVID-19 can stay in schools as long as they do...n’t show symptoms. NKC Schools has been in constant contact with the Clay County and Kansas City Health Departments and will continue to do so in making the best decisions for our community and staff. Until that time, our current protocols regarding masks and stay at home periods will be followed. We will not be bringing anyone back who is currently staying at home due to COVID exposure. More information will follow as it becomes available. See more

Exciting news! The waiver allowing schools to offer free meals to all students has been extended through December 31, 2020. All NKC Schools students will be off...ered free breakfast and lunch, whether learning in person or virtually. See more details at nkcschools.org/meals. The Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference voted unanimously to continue fall sports and activities with all safety precautions in place. NKC Schools is collab...orating with other districts in Clay County to make determinations that adhere to limitations regarding mass gatherings. While district events might look differently, every effort will be made to include all school-sponsored activities and athletics. More communication will follow once further decisions have been made.
