We are growing again! If you are interested in joining our team (or know of someone who would be stellar) please reach out! The position is for an Optician, with other office responsibilities. No prior optical experience is needed. Sales experience is preferred. Schedule is Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 9-5, Thursday 10-7, and Saturdays 9-1.... Pay is negotiable with experience. Duties & Responsibilities: Welcome patients. Answer phones to make appointments and coordinate patient care. Verify and authorize insurance benefits for the patient. Assist patients in shopping for frames. Style patient appropriately and take measurements. Provide patient with clear explanations of spectacle lens options. Create invoices at check out and collect money at time of orders. Input glasses orders to lab ordering system. Verify Rx and check in glasses orders when received. Notify patients when contacts or glasses are ready for pick up. Dispense glasses and make adjustments to fit glasses to patient. Help troubleshoot any issues patients may have. Administer pretesting procedures if asked. Keep optical and lab areas tidy and clean. Assist receptionist as needed with check in. Help clean the office in down time.
