October Is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Since its founding, Southeast Enterprises has worked to provide dignified and meaningful employment to area residents with developmental disabilities. A member of the Missouri Association of Sheltered Workshop Managers (MASWM), Southeast provides services such as job training, working on life skills, improving fine motor skills, counting, team building, patience & problem solving to create opportunities for employment of people with disabilities and help them live life to the fullest. Throwback Thursday to this summer when Southeast donated over 639,978 pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald house. That came out to be about 390 pounds! Thank you to the Ronald McDonald house for everything you do for families each year. We appreciate getting to contribute to a great cause.

Just got our Organic Certification at the farm!

Southeast associates proudly partnering with Thermo Fisher Scientific on the Patriot Project to combat Covid-19 one test kit at a time. We got the call because millions of vials for test kits need to be quality checked and packed up to ship out domestically and globally from Thermo Fisher’s new supply facility in Lenexa. Lee, the floor supervisor reports, your team is doing exceptional well! They do NOT accept bad product and I love that about them. Southeast associates take pride in their work, are productive, and have great fun doing it. Way to go team!

Working hard on a new job, associates are inspecting boxes that a customer was concerned may have gluing issues. While separating and banding bundles of the good ones, each person has a specific task to do. The set-up, flow, and teamwork is expediting this project in half the time quoted! This is a fun job, as reported from one associate on the line. We know the customer will be happy too. Great job Southeast Associates!

We love our Associates and our SE family and friends. We had a wonderful year in 2019 and can't wait to get back to work! The board and staff are planning for the future of SE and working hard (virtually of course) to make sure we come back after COVID stronger than ever. The SE community is strong!
