MRIGlobal was honored to recently host Congressman Emmanuel Cleaver and Regional Director Whitney Frost for a tour of our new, state-of-the-art Diagnostics laboratories. These labs, made possible in partnership with our community, have enabled MRIGlobal to be an impactful player on multiple fronts in the ongoing fight against COVID-19.

MRIGlobal is proud of our partnership with Dr. Lee Norman and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to bring health to the public. The Kansas Speedway hosted the Race to End COVID-19 on June 4-5 in partnership with Wyandotte County Unified Government, University of Kansas Health System, Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Kansas Division of Emergency Management. Individuals visited the mobile laboratories (designed and build by MRIGlobal) for COVID-19 tests or vaccinations. Those tested/vaccinated individuals then had the opportunity to drive their car around the track of the Speedway and be entered for the chance to win race tickets and the chance to drive a racecar on the track. Please check www.vaccines.gov for information on where to find your COVID-19 vaccine!

Our very own Dr. Gene Olinger recently joined KCUR's Up To Date podcast to discuss the importance of cleaning surfaces to fight COVID-19. Even though experts debate the efficacy of cleaning surfaces, COVID-19 is still relatively easy to kill and there may be an important mental health component, too. Recently, MRIGlobal worked with a Hong Kong-based manufacturer to verify its new air purifier’s ability to eliminate more than 99.9% of COVID-19 in 30 minutes. Though HEPA filters are still the gold standard, our evaluation helped get Aurabeat FDA-cleared in the US as a medical-grade air purifier under the COVID-19 modified enforcement policy.
