This week kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month. And like our clients at Cargill, we’re happy to celebrate the Latino cultures and traditions that enrich society every day. Check out this video we put together for Rumba Meats, who’s partnering with United States Hispanic Leadership Institute to award scholarships to Hispanic youth.
We’re thrilled to be named among the Top 10 for the KC Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards. Be sure to watch for us at the CEO panel in October. Congratulations to the other finalists and a huge thanks to the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity.
One of the perks of still WFH? All the cat naps. As you can see, the cats of Signal Theory excel in all napping components. The compact forms. The dramatic yawns. The biiiiiiig streeetchessss. 10/10 across the board.
Virtual trade shows might be here to stay, even in a post-pandemic future. Luckily, this isn’t our first digital rodeo (so to speak). Check out our quick tips and download the full guide.
When Jon Kowing departed on his planned-for-ages sabbatical in early March, there was lots on the agenda to do and see. Munich. Salzburg. Berlin. Art, design, architecture, food, music and theatre. What wasn’t on the agenda? Navigating the beginning of a global pandemic well into his trip, very far from home. And a cancelled bucket list item to see and hear the Berlin Philharmonic play in their home concert hall. So what do you do? You enjoy what you can. Drink and eat all the glühwein and quarkbällchen (fried cheese/donut balls). And make it home safely, which is exactly what Jon did.
To climb Mount Everest these days, you’re looking at $30,000 on the low end and as much as $130,000 on the high end. Or for the (relatively) low cost of a smartphone, you can do it right here, right now. We loved working with National Geographic on this interactive experience to bring a far-reaching part of the world closer to home. All the way up to our faces, in fact. Read on to see the filter in action.
We’re honored to have Signal Theory associate creative directors, Ann Alcasabas and Nick Kinney, share a behind-the-scenes look at an award-winning campaign with the AAF-KC District 9 regional ad community this morning. Watch the live stream recap to see how the team conveyed the story of parasite prevention for pets via animation along with a solid strategy and concept.
It was nice to be back at NAMA National (even if just virtually) to celebrate some sharp work in the agricultural space. Even nicer? Signal Theory walked away victorious. Our Cattle Friendly Vaccines campaign for Merck Animal Health earned two first-place awards, while the Good to Know campaign for Seaboard Foods and the Don’t Let Them Feast campaign for W.F. Young each picked up a merit. National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA)
We pride ourselves on being a human-centered business. So it makes sense that at the center of our business is a pretty great human: our Co-CEO, Ali Mahaffy. Ali was recently interviewed for a piece in Thrive Global where she talks all things leadership, including the mantras she chooses to live by.
We had a huge video shoot coincide with the very beginning of quarantine. And since some cities were beginning to shut down, we had to get a little creative. Luckily, with a fast-acting crew and an open-minded client, we were able to pivot and make a new plan. The Signal Theory team set up shop at the Arcadia Performing Arts Center in Arcadia, CA. And with our Bose friends on video standby, we were able to shoot a series of video testimonials that show the product and its users in their natural habitat.
What’s a virtual photo shoot? Well, it’s like a virtual happy hour, but instead of drinking we shoot photos of Sonic Drive-In drinks. And Tots and burgers and stuff. Check out our recent blog post, The Shoot Must Go On: 5 Tips for a Successful Virtual Photo Shoot, to see how you can pull one off during this time of social distancing: bit.ly/virtualphotoshoot4 Bruton Stroube #virtualphotoshoot #fastfood #foodphotography #photoshoot
