I took Spencer Ware RB and Reggie Ragland LB over to KU Med to see drummer Jerry Bayton from KC’s own Superstar Mafia Band. Jerry is fighting Cancer and going through Chemo, we wanted to surprise him, his son and Marcy Fletcher (who has been by his side the whole time) we knew it was late but to see Jerry’s reaction and how engaging he was made it worth that much more. Get well soon Jerry!!!

Here are some pictures of the 2nd Annual Steak, Wine and Chocolate Night-NFL 1st Rd Draft Event at Tanners Bar & Grill across from KU Med. We had an exceptional turn out, raised quite a bit of money for the Foundation and entertained everyone. A big thank you to General Manager Rodney Couey and his staff for their support as well. Spencer Ware, Tim Mallams, Patricia Price and many others stepped up again this year in Kansas City and Cincinnati Ohio to help take care of any and all who needed it as a part of our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway at the various Community Centers and Hospitals we served at. This year the Sickle Cell aWAREness Foundation and it’s Founder former KC Chief, Seattle Seahawk and Indianapolis Colt #32 Spencer Ware made sure to spread as much joy as possible along with participati...on from Walmart in the form of Walmart Gift Cards so families could purchase their Thanksgiving Meal or and other things they needed during the Holidays. Spencer and his Foundation celebrated by helping over 1,000 families in the last two years and will continue their support for many years to come.
